Hostel Uppelink will offer you an enjoyable stay at a unique location in Ghent, in a building that has history written all over it. Indeed, Hostel Uppelink is the third oldest building in Ghent, and also the former residence of the count of Egmont. Decapitated alongside his friend Prince William of Orange, the count of Egmont has been immortalised by the famous Egmont Overture by Ludwig van Beethoven.
However, such an illustrious past comes with certain consequences. The building is part of cultural heritage; therefore it is not allowed to install an elevator. If there are any questions about the facilities for people with a physical disability, do not hesitate to contact us prior to your stay. During your stay, the staff is present to offer the required assistance.
You can find our rates on the 'Rooms & Rates' page. Our rates include bed linen, a varied fair trade breakfast buffet, a personal locker and (wireless) Internet.
